Our 2017 Pinot Noir is a true reserve, with only 150 cases produced. Bursting with rich cherry flavors and a hint of smoke, it finishes with a soft silk imparted by its French oak aging. This elegant old-world style wine pairs well with roasted or grilled pork, duck, pheasant, and salmon.
The first 100% estate grown Pinot Noir from our Big Hollow Vineyard, the grapes were harvested on September 26, 2017, following a long, sunny ripening period. They were then macerated in French oak (Garbelloto Experience) for 4 days. This traditional technique allows the production of musts with clean, stable aromas and colors. Following pressing, the wine was aged in French oak for 15 months, with 28% new oak (cooperage: Val de Loire and François Frère). Bottled March 2019.
Recommended cellaring time 3-5 years.

We bought this wine without having tasted it, so we weren't sure whether we would like it or not but we decided to take a chance and we're glad we did. This wine is excellent and we will definitely purchase this one again.
