One of nine Rieslings produced in 2019, the Dry Riesling was harvested from our estate vineyards in late September, then destemmed, crushed, and pressed. More than any other vinifera grape, Riesling takes on the characteristics of the soil in which it's grown. Starting with subtle aromas of grapefruit, it leads into a mouth-watering burst of bright lemon mid-palate. Enhanced by stainless steel fermentation, the finish evolves into a clean minerality reflecting the shale content of our easternmost vineyard. Its acid to sugar ratio is perfectly balanced, making it a favorite food pairing wine. We suggest trying it with light green salads, fish, poultry, and mild cheeses.
